Over the holidays, Diane & I hosted 21 swimmers in 34 different video coaching swimmer-sessions at Toronto PanAm Sports Centre. Many sessions were 1:1 while others were 2:1 ratio for swimmer:coach ratios. All sessions were either 90 or 120 minutes in length and each session had various angle shots of above and below the water video. In all, we shot 175 videos and we are now back in our office editing and compiling for distribution to the swimming familes.
Throughout the sessions, we found the swimmers to be intrigued and very interested in improving. We continue to be pleased with how quickly techniques can change….that being said, some skills were so engrained, we really had to break down the stroke and continue to show the video results on our 42” TV on deck to “show and tell” on how to do it right.
Often times, we used some videos from our Olympians how just how they are doing it right!
