We have been fortunate to be providing some unique private coaching sessions to swimmers typically in the dive tank at PanAm-TPASC. This is a fantastic pool for water clarity and as a result, the video quality is the very best. Our sessions have been a mixture of private one-on-one or up to a max of three swimmers in a session. Both setups have huge advantages. While private sessions have a self-explained benefit, the benefit of the social mix and technical comparisons actually add to the process of technical change, and enjoyment of the sessions.
We are very pleased that most of our current list of 40 swimmers come back for several sessions. One of our Masters swimmers is part way through his season-long 10 session program.
Typically, we use three cameras. The first is a non-stop time delayed underwater camera, viewable throughout the entire workout. For the videos above the water, we use a Professional Canon 60FPS video camera and for the underwater moving shots, we use a professional Olympus underwater camera, which is also the camera of choice for scuba divers too!
In post-production, we analyze the videos, add slow motion, or instant replay and post them privately to this web site for swimmers, families and coaches to view.
The all-inclusive fee is based on $110 per hour which includes:
- Coaching and stroke instruction from Coach Snow
- Pool time and lifeguard
- Post-production and private web page for all videos
